Full Description of Vacancy:
We are looking for an engineering apprentice to train and become part of a growing Bristol team.  The successful candidate will be provided with Advanced Apprenticeship training and will be reviewed for different entry options according to their level of educational achievement and abilities. Progression onto a Higher Apprenticeship is also a possible development route. All Apprentices will be supported by the South West Apprenticeship Company.
The apprentice will report directly to the Maintenance Manager.
To become trained in the full range of electrical and mechanical maintenance duties.  To work under close supervision and to support experienced Technicians with maintenance and fault diagnosis, to ensure the safe and efficient operation of all services.

Summary Of Role:
As the Apprentice Maintenance Technician, you will be supporting the highly exacting manufacture of caravans and motor homes. 
By the completion of your training, you will be responsible for all maintenance aspects within the company to ensure the plant operators at optimum efficiency, safely and in accordance with current legislation.
Whilst reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager, you will interface with all departments within the company.
This challenging position places high premiums on safe working, effective teamwork, clear communication, initiative, intelligent judgment, cost analysis and ability to work out of hours.
Personal Competencies 
1. Ability to work under pressure. 
2. Excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills 
3. Excellent knowledge of all the production processes. 
4. Report writing and project management. 
5. Physically capable of performing all the manual roles within the team 
6. Able to participate in training sessions, presentations, team improvement meetings.
7. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and drawings.
8. Specific vision requirements include colour vision
Qualifications required:
5 GCSEs A* to C or equivalent to include English, Maths and 1 Science or Engineering Qualification
39 hours per week
Monday to Thursday: 7.30am to 4.30pm with a 15 min morning break and ½ hour lunch
Friday: 7.30am to 12.30pm with a 15 min morning break
£5.00 per hour
Skills Required: Can manage themselves Can plan and organise Problem solver Team player
Qualifications Required: 5 GCSEs A* to C or equivalent to include English, Maths and 1 Science or Engineering Qualification

Important Other Information: The company operates factory shutdown periods which is when holidays are to be taken. All PPE supplied by the Company
