Full Description of Vacancy:
This is a multi-trade Maintenance Apprenticeship within a Business Park with heritage buildings in Corsham, Wiltshire.  Your day to day role will be varied and will involve being part of a range of maintenance and projects, and encompass different aspects of each the building trades.  We are looking for someone with a minimum of intermediate level joinery skills with previous experience in this area.
 
As a Maintenance Operations Apprentice within Hartham Park, you can expect to be part of a small, hands-on team who have a number of maintenance works and projects on the go at any time.   
 
Job Role:
Maintenance emergencies
Helpdesk tasks
Planned and preventative maintenance
Small works and projects
You will work alongside very experienced personnel, learning across trades in carpentry and joinery, plastering, painting, tiling, plumbing, drainage and maintenance. 
The main focus of your work will of your work will relate to carpentry and joinery to a high standard.
Conform to health and safety regulations  - you will be encouraged to work in a safe and organised working environment where you will be taught how to handle, maintain and store a variety of tools required for the trades
 
This is a varied and practical role and requires you to work well within a team and have a methodical and practical approach to your work. You will be required to work in a professional, efficient and timely manner to ensure facilities and standards are maintained. 
 
This is an excellent opportunity to work in an historic listed building and gain a broad range of trade experience. There is also the prospect of additional training sessions to support your on-going development and progression.

Qualifications Required:
GCSEs A*- C including Maths and English or Level 2 equivalent.
Use of ICT preferred.
Level 2 NVQ in carpentry, bench joinery, plumbing or painting and decorating would be beneficial.
 
40 hours per week
Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm
 
£7.00 per hour rising to £8.00 per hour in year 2

Important Other Information: All PPE and a uniform will be provided. There could be an opportunity to work at the weekend on events for overtime.
