Key responsibilities:

  • Design and development of a product variant, forming the basis of the next 5 years of marine seismic controller sales
  • Exposure to digital and analogue circuit design
  • Understanding of serial communications protocols
  • Exposure to PCB design including SMD components on multi-layer boards with high speed signals
  • Good level of PC literacy, familiar with Linux OS

Desirable Qualities:

  • Understanding of, or experience of analogue and digital circuit simulation
  • Cadence software (schematic capture and PCB layout)
  • Understanding of, or experience of software / firmware programming languages
  • Understanding of, or Fiber optic telemetry experience
  • Familiarity with ‘C’ and Unix/Linux operating systems

  • Ability to work in a small team
  • Ability to “fit in” with the minimum of supervision
  • Good communicator
  • Trustworthy and reliable
  • Organised and methodical, with good attention to detail

Qualifications Required:
5 GCSEs grades A* to C (grades 5 to 9) including Maths and English or equivalent

38 hours per week Monday to Friday flexible hours (between 9am to 5pm) with 1 hour for lunch

£5.75 per hour
