Are you looking for a great opportunity to support good causes and help the environment? This exciting role involves working with corporates across the UK that are relocating or refurbishing to donate reusable furniture, equipment and materials to schools, charities, NHS trusts, voluntary groups and other not for profit organisations. The successful apprentice will work as part of a small team in a rapidly growly business and with excellent administrative and communication skills will ensure the smooth relocation of these items to their new homes.

Key responsibilities:

  • Prepare documents and spreadsheets using Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Cross reference and allocate availability and requirement from client to end customer
  • Respond via email and telephone to customers enquiries and ensure all issues resolved to the customers satisfaction
  • Marketing of Kit to Good Causes: Taking on-site photos and videos
  • Putting together inventories, uploading these to our exchange and marketing them to good causes via e-mail marketing software
  • Deal professionally, promptly and courteously with customer enquiries over the telephone and email

Social media administration support:

  • Creating and scheduling posts
  • Responding to comments and messages
  • Identifying potential customers

Website administration support:

  • Researching, writing blogs and copy
  • Creating infographics

Personal Qualities:

  • Positive mindset
  • Can do attitude
  • Confident in Microsoft Office packages and e-mail or equivalent
  • Confident telephone manner
  • Strong written communication skills – you will be able liaise with our copywriter in the initial weeks
  • Hands-on experience with social media platforms such as Facebook page, Twitter and LinkedIn. These are the main ones we use, but are happy to look at additional media
  • Highly organised, with a sharp eye for attention to detail
  • Able to work as part of a team, but also able to use your own initiative
  • Ability to use Photoshop or Canva would be advantageous but not essential

When out on clients’ sites putting together inventories it may necessary to do some light lifting in order to get the right photo of the furniture. Full manual handling training will be given, in addition to PPE, but you must be physically able to lift and shift items

Qualifications Required:
3 GCSE’s at grades 9 to 4 (A* to C) or equivalent to include Maths and English

40 hours per week
Monday to Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm with ½ hour for lunch

£5.00 per hour
