Are you looking for a great opportunity? This role involves working within a highly skilled team working on the maintenance and repair of some exciting and interesting vehicles. A varied role that requires someone with a genuine interest in starting and progressing their career in the maintenance of heavy vehicles. The successful candidate will work towards becoming a qualified vehicle technician with some great career prospects.

Key responsibilities:

  • Observing and assisting technicians
  • Following health and safety procedures
  • Servicing
  • Learning the fundamentals of Heavy Vehicle technologies – Heavy Vehicle chassis design, engine, fuels, transmissions, hydraulic and air braking, etc.
  • Vehicle Maintenance – replacing / repairing engine parts
  • Diagnostics – using the latest diagnostic equipment
  • Maintaining repair and service records
  • To represent the company in a professional and courteous manner at all times
  • Carry out the basic tasks with tools and equipment common to all procedures involving basic mechanical and electrical procedures related to HV.
  • The ability to keep updated with emerging new technologies within the HV industry

Qualifications Required:
5 GCSE’s at grades 9 to 4 (A* to C) or equivalent to include Maths and English

40 hours per week
7.30am to 4pm Monday to Friday with ½ hour for lunch

£5.00 per hour
