An excellent opportunity to join the administration team within a rapidly growing and award winning environmental consultancy business. Becoming an Apprentice Administrator with this client involves being responsible for the provision of an effective and efficient, professional & flexible administrative service to support internal teams and external clients. You would undertake a wide range of technical/specialist admin tasks as directed, whilst maintaining high standards of work. You will also be given the opportunity to learn on the job and also work through formal qualifications.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and administrative support across all departments. Performing a wide range of administrative and office support activities for all departments and/or managers and supervisors to facilitate the efficient operation of the organisation.

Responsibilities/Duties;

  • Provide effective administration support to all teams
  • General clerical duties including photocopying and mailing
  • Minute taking
  • Open, sort and distribute incoming correspondence
  • Answer, screen and transfer inbound phone calls
  • General office administration including booking hotel accommodation, hire cars, filing, and ordering of stationary
  • Be responsible for creating and maintaining accurate and up to date project files and databases
  • Receive and direct visitors and clients
  • Maintain electronic and hard copy filing system
  • Handle requests for information and data
  • Prepare written responses to routine enquiries
  • Prepare and modify documents including correspondence, reports, drafts, memos and emails
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments and travel arrangements for all staff
  • Coordinate and maintain records
  • Processing sales invoices, purchase orders, Purchase Invoices, Setting up new clients and suppliers
  • Maintaining an audit trail
  • Credit control/debt chasing

Education and Experience:

GCSE Grades 4 to 9 (A*- C) in Maths and English or equivalent plus 2 other GCSEs grades 3 to 9 (A* to D) in any other subject

Computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

37.5 hours per week

Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm with 30 minutes for lunch

£10,000 per annum
