The regional finalists have now been announced for the annual National Apprenticeship Awards and we are absolutely delighted that one of our own apprentices Leanne Finch who is working at Sixways Surgery in Cheltenham is one of those finalists. She has made it through a rigorous judging process as a finalist for Apprentice of the Year, where the judges are looking for excellent candidates who show passion, hard work and exceptional levels of commitment to their apprenticeship.
Leanne is just about to start her progression on to Level 3 of her apprenticeship with Gloucestershire College following her successful first year where she made a huge impact on the surgery and all of the staff there. Here is what the practice manager had to say in her nomination:
“Leanne is such an important part of the Sixways Clinic Team. From the moment she started with us she has got along with all her colleagues and settled in so well. Leanne was quite shy when she started here with us but her confidence has grown so much and we are all so proud of her and everything that she has achieved.
Leanne is now at a level where she is training and helping her colleagues in areas they need improving on which is amazing! She is so kind and patient with them all and they are very receptive to her helping them out.
Leanne has had minimal help and support with her level 2 due to be being so pro-active and managing her time so well with her work modules. She has done so well passing all exams and completing modules to a high standard.
Leanne has not only won receptionist of the month here at Sixways but she has also won apprentice of the month through SWAC”
From us all here at SWAC, We are so proud of everything you have achieved so far Leanne and we wish you all the luck for the awards and we will be with you all the way!
Congratulations to Leanne and to all the other finalists, an amazing achievement to be recognised at this level for your hard work and commitment to your apprenticeships.
