Our SWAC Apprentice of the Month for February goes to….
Rebecca has recently completed her Business Administration Level 3 with City of Bristol College and has now been offered a full-time position with her host apprenticeship employer Kenneth and Edwards. Rebecca started her apprenticeship in January 2018 and is now being employed as the Office Manager. There was a little bump and a wobble early on in Rebecca’s apprenticeship, but she overcame this when a senior of member of staff left the Kenneth and Edwards team and she started to learn how to handle the demands of a busy team and has taken on a lot more responsibility in her role as a result of this staff change.
Rebecca has grown a huge amount in confidence as a person and within her role and will no doubt continue to strive for excellence and to help push the business forward.
Erika who is Rebecca’s line Manager had this to say:
“Rebecca is very resourceful when looking at ways to improve our internal systems. She manages staff diaries and is able to book site meetings without any assistance. Rebecca can work under pressure, especially during our busiest time in the practice. She will go the extra mile and work longer hours when required.
Rebecca, has been given the opportunity to work for us full time once her apprenticeship finishes and we hope to see her as an Officer Manager soon!”
We also spoke to Rebecca’s Learner Account Manager Shelley, who had the following to say…
“Rebecca has been a pleasure to visit and it has been great to see her grow in confidence as she has progressed through her apprenticeship. Seeing Rebecca take on additional responsibilities in her role, learning new skills and becoming an integral part of the team is a huge credit to her and her hard work.”
