The nominations were sent, judging is now complete and the finalists for this year’s BristolLive & BathLive Apprenticeship awards have been announced and we are delighted to have Cody James as a finalist for the following award:
Outstanding Apprentice of the Year – Financial & Business Services
The awards take place on 23rd May and are a great chance to recognise the fantastic success of both apprentices and employers across the region. We wish all the finalists luck for the awards themselves and you can read more of Cody’s nomination from our Director Clare, City of Bristol College and of course her host employer HFMA below:
Judges will be looking for entries which showcase the impact an apprentice has had on the organisation they work for in the financial and business services industry, as well as evidence of personal self-development and progression. Throughout the judging process, judges will be looking for an apprentice who is able to demonstrate a passion for their chosen apprenticeship.
“Cody has excelled in her workplace and at college meeting all her work and college targets by working hard and always going the extra mile. She successfully completed her AAT Level 2, she is now powering through her Level 3 and we are already looking at progression pathways to the Level 4 Higher Apprenticeship. Her host employer HFMA have now taken on another SWAC apprentice who Cody is mentoring in the workplace and supporting through her Level 2 AAT Apprenticeship. SWAC recognised Cody’s outstanding commitment to her apprenticeship and studies by not only naming her as an Apprentice of the Month but also the SWAC Apprentice of Year in 2017. She has since become a SWAC Apprentice Ambassador and will be featuring in our progression celebrations with a case study.”
Clare Vertigen – SWAC Director
“Cody is a hardworking, enthusiastic, positive individual and an absolute pleasure to work with. Her work ethic is fantastic. She’s committed to both her own personal growth and motivated for getting every new task done to the best of her ability whilst taking on new challenges with a smile. She’s a real asset to the team, frequently offering to help others both in the Finance and wider teams. She is one of the loveliest, most dedicated team members I’ve ever got to work with. I have no doubt that Cody will continue to impress us all as she continues with her studies in the years to come!”
Lisa Jordan, Financial Accountant
“In a very short period of time Cody has fully integrated not only into the Finance but also the wider team, commanding the respect of all her colleagues with her positive outlook, hard-work and professionalism.”
