What You’ll Be Doing
As a key member of the team, you’ll play an important role in supporting learners, staff, and visitors. Your responsibilities will include:
 
  • Managing the reception desk – welcoming visitors and providing a professional first impression
  • Handling emails and phone calls promptly and professionally
  • Supporting learner enrolment and sign-up processes
  • Assisting the administration and IAG & Progression teams
  • Using a range of IT systems to complete daily tasks
  • Supporting tutors with classroom activities, including student travel arrangements
  • Helping learners on their first day by directing them to the correct classrooms
  • Ensuring reception areas are welcoming and well-presented
  • Support the bootcamp team with enquiries and administration tasks

We are recruiting a Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant Apprentice to join a warm and welcoming Catholic primary school, supporting pupils in either reception, Year 1 or Year 2.

This is a fantastic opportunity to earn while you learn, working towards a Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship. You’ll be fully supported by experienced staff and involved in all aspects of school life—from learning support and safeguarding to enrichment activities and classroom engagement.

We have an excellent opportunity for an apprentice to be supported and trained to become a Teaching Assistant. You will be supported by your line management and the wider school team to learn a variety of new skills to help you achieve your qualification.

They are looking for a Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant Apprentices to work with their teaching team and study towards a Level 3 Apprenticeship in either reception, Year 1 or Year 2.

Duties will include:

  • Contribute to the overall ethos and aims of the school and promote diversity, inclusion, equality and acceptance of all learners in line with school policies, including by challenging stereotyped views, bullying or harassment
  • Implement safeguarding polices and safe practice, including online safety, in line with legislation, policies, and procedures including maintaining confidentiality
  • Work in partnership and liaise with other professionals (such as the teaching staff, SENDCo, or external advisors) and parents/carers to support all learners’ learning
  • Reflect on your own practice and identify appropriate professional development opportunities with the support of colleagues

  • Promote engagement and teach learning behaviours to support the development of independent learners

We are looking for an Reception Teaching Assistant Apprentice to work with the Reception teaching team and study towards a Level 3 Apprenticeship.

  • Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS): Reception
  • Ages: Children in Reception are typically between 4 and 5 years old
  • Focus: Prime areas (communication and language, physical development, personal, social and emotional development) and specific areas (literacy, maths, understanding the world, expressive arts and design) through play based learning.

Duties will include:

  • Contribute to the overall ethos and aims of the school and promote diversity, inclusion, equality and acceptance of all learners in line with school policies, including by challenging stereotyped views, bullying or harassment
  • Implement safeguarding policies and safe practice, including online safety, in line with legislation, policies and procedures, including maintaining confidentiality

  • Help to set up, supervise and tidy away activities, ensuring that equipment is safe, clean and appropriate for young children
  • Support or lead enrichment activities appropriate for Reception children, for example local walks, visitors into school, stay and play sessions and simple clubs or story times
  • This list is not exhaustive, and the post holder may be required to take on other duties appropriate to an apprentice Teaching Assistant role in Reception to support the effective and efficient running of the class and school.

About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join a busy construction project team in Bristol (Epic Project) as a Document Controller Apprentice.

You will play a key role in keeping project information organised, accurate and up to date, supporting the Design Manager, Planning Department and Site Teams to ensure everything runs smoothly and efficiently.
If you’re someone who enjoys structure, precision and being at the heart of how a project operates, this role offers fantastic exposure to the construction industry and professional project environments.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Creating, monitoring and maintaining electronic drawing and document records
  • Controlling and distributing drawings, ensuring they are date stamped, recorded and filed correctly
  • Supporting BREEAM administration and coordinating project folders
  • Working closely with the client’s design team
  • Quality checking information before it is issued to site teams
  • Assisting with the preparation of Health & Safety Files and O&M Manuals
  • Ensuring documentation is returned to Head Office in line with ISO9001 and ISO14001 standards
  • Maintaining quality, environmental and health & safety procedures
  • Supporting wider team administration where required

You will gain valuable experience in compliance, quality assurance, project coordination and professional communication, all highly transferable skills for future progression.

About the Role
As an Office Coordinator Administration Apprentice, you will be at the heart of a busy project office, supporting site teams, consultants and visitors while developing strong business administration skills.

This is a varied, hands-on role that will build your confidence, organisation and communication skills while working towards a Business Administration Level 3 Apprenticeship.

You will be supported throughout your apprenticeship by SWAC, your host team at Gilbert-Ash, and your specialist training provider Weston College.

What You Will Be Doing
With support and training, you will learn how to:

  • Open and close the project office and manage the switchboard professionally
  • Welcome visitors and present a positive, professional company image
  • Provide general office and project administration support
  • Maintain records, files and site documentation
  • Support meeting organisation and office facilities
  • Assist with document control and project systems
  • Support site teams with sustainability data, apprenticeship records and reporting
  • Help maintain health, safety, quality and environmental procedures

No two days will be the same and you will gain real experience in a live construction project environment.

Who This Apprenticeship Is For

  • Organised, reliable and keen to learn
  • Confident communicating with different people
  • Comfortable working as part of a team and using their own initiative
  • Interested in administration, construction or project environments

Entry Requirements
Essential:

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English
  • Eligibility to work in the UK

Desirable (but not essential):

  • Some previous work experience
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
