On Wednesday the 2nd December we got to attend the annual Bristol and Bath Apprenticeship Awards, not in the normal way of course! The event was held virtually and from the comfort of our front rooms and we got to celebrate all the wonderful achievements of the Apprentices across Bristol and Bath throughout 2020.
We were delighted to have a finalist in the awards this year, Erin Morris. Erin was a SWAC apprentice hosted by Bristol Law Centre and Erin was a credit to her apprenticeship. She put in exceptional effort throughout the duration of her apprenticeship and we had no hesitation in nominating Erin for the Outstanding Apprentice of the Year (Business, Administrative and Financial Services). Erin was nominated as she excelled in her workplace from day one, overcoming her own worries and gaining confidence to become an integral part of the team at The Bristol Law Centre. Erin completed her apprenticeship with City of Bristol College and proved her passion for forging a career in her new workplace at the end of her apprenticeship by securing a permanent role and the confidence to take on a part time law degree.
As well as achieving so much in her apprenticeship Erin also became very involved in the charities that the Bristol Law Centre supported by taking part in the 10k legal walk in Bristol to promote access to justice and also raising money for a Youth Homeless Charity by sleeping out on the streets of Bristol in November 2019. This is only the tip of what Erin has done to support charities in Bristol.
- 10K Legal walk
- Youth Homeless Charity Sleep out
Congratulations to all of the winners at Wednesday nights event and to all of the finalists, who we know have all worked so hard to achieve so much as either Apprentice, Employer or Training Provider. The event was a lovely way to bring to an end all the hard work and success that has been achieved by all the incredible apprentices, employers and providers throughout 2020, We look forward to celebrating more success stories in 2021!
