Apprentice of the month is…
Kieran Robbins
We are delighted to announce Kieran as SWAC’s April Apprentice of the Month.
Kieran is hosted by IAAPS in Emersons Green, Bristol. Kieran is training to be a technician as part of their technical team. He will be assisting in installing and modifying electrical and mechanical test pieces for customers, as well as fabricating test rigs and completing electrical wiring harnesses.
He is currently studying towards a Mechatronics Maintenance Technician level 3 Apprenticeship which is delivered by Weston College.
IAAPS are a research and innovation facility for propulsion systems.
Kieran currently attends college 3 days a week and then applies what he has learned in the 2 days he is working at IAAPS, where Kieran shadows someone in the workshop.
Kieran has recently passed his welding course and is doing well in all his current assignments, earning distinctions where possible.
Kieran’s Technical Services Manager, Simon had this to say “We like his curiosity and fresh thinking. I always say to him to ask questions”
His Assessor, Lisa also shared “This is fantastic news for Keiran, I am so pleased for him. He is doing very well in the workplace and at college. His work is of a very high standard and always completed on time. He is engaged, polite, listens well and asks very good questions”.
